I was born on a Thursday, so on Thursdays you get to see Lone Star Lifer grow through the years. I was born in 1955, so this was sometime in 1956.

How cute were you. Seeing that Olan Mills was the studio reminded me of growing up in McKinney. The OM photographer would only come to town once a year and set up shop in one of the small buidings off the square. It was always such a big deal for Mother…getting a portrait appointment, picking out what we would wear, getting Daddy to go and trying to make sure 3 kids were cleaned and pressed! I had forgotten all about that till you did this post!

Debbie- It was the same where I lived. Olan Mills came once a year or so and I’m sure that’s when I got this picture taken. Things seemed much more special “back in the day” because we didn’t have any and everything at our disposal 24 hours a day. Thanks for checking in.
