I have been a huge admirer of blogging for many years and finally decided to take the plunge. Now anyone can be a “published” writer…not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing. The title of this blog – Lone Star Lifer – describes me perfectly. I have lived in Texas my entire (53 yrs) life and don’t see any changes coming in that area. I have been trying for 4 years to get my act together and submit my application to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, as my GGG Grandfather was in the Republic of Texas army, so I am a 5th gen Texan. If you could ask my good friends to describe me, proud Texan would be mentioned frequently.
I married my husband (Big J) in 1992 and our son (Little J) came around in 1997. I love to take pictures and started scrapbooking Little J’s life. That lasted until he was 4 months old. Now I have paper boxes full of pictures and no
scrapbooks. I thought that maybe my blog could be his scrapbook. I would like for Little J to know that there are many facets of me that he doesn’t get to see because I am his mom, and give him some insight into my heart and thoughts.
Thanks to all the bloggers who have gone before me. I hope I can keep up with you!!
By the way, unless specifically noted, all pictures were taken by me and belong to me. So don’t be using them for yourself without permission.
